“We Got Skills” is a CREATIVE soccer tournament we are running in Uganda in Late November. “Family values” is a mirror image of what we are hoping to run, but a 5-A-SIDE version here in Vancouver with you beautiful people.

WE GOT SKILLZ SPIRIT

This is an event is to raise money so that Silas and myself can go to Uganda with a ton of Soccer equipment and work with the Makindye Soccer Academy that the “Bavubuka All-Stars Foundation” sponsors in Kamapala. We are also going so that we can raise the roof for the 10th annual Hip Hop Summit in Uganda that Silas plans every year, and to start to raise funds to buy land to build a sports facility to empower the children to dream bigger.

We are calling it “family values” because we want the creative musical and sports families we belong to in Vancouver to connect to the Ugandan family to build long-lasting global bridges.

It will be a day of soccer, music, food, laughter… and all in the name of helping to build what we have in our community into a global entity.

WE GOT SKILLZ BEAUTIFUL THOUGHTS IN REFLECTION

The first way you can participate is to put together a team of 5-8 players and have some fun with us at the tournament (any age, any skill-level.) To register all you need is a team name (PG-13 please), $100 entry fee (per team) and the same colored shirts.

Alternately you can let us put you on a team for $20.

(The above are early-bird prices prior to Aug 5th)

During the tournament there will be music on the sidelines (please bring drums and percussive instruments) and after it is concluded we will have live acoustic performances by some of the creative talent in our entourage… and then a Jam session, dance-puddle.

Food will be provided by: https://www.facebook.com/pages/The-Roadside-Diner/114184228629684

We’d also like to find a location to have a small after-party if someone can find us a venue as there is no booze on city land.

What I am hoping for is:

– 4-8 teams of 5-8 people (5/side)

– 5 Volunteers to help run the event on the day of

– Sponsorship; ANYTHING helps when you live on a $1.25/day as 40% of Ugandans do…

– Musical Talent

– 2 referees

– social media help for our campaign

I hope to see you there!

Your friend, your brother,

Ben
